An Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Lynette Jones and I am in my final year of studying for a degree in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

My blog topic 'music and sound as therapy to reduce stress is to connect with therapists and with people who experience stress and anxiety in the workplace environment'.

I invite you all to consider the use of music as a therapy tool for achieving relaxation. In this way music and sound helps to manage or reduce anxiety therby improving or maintaining health in a work environment.

The connection to music could be physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic and spiritual for maintaining health. I have a strong personal belief that what we hear and choose to listen to affects our feelings and influences our state of being.
